Gel Manicure
Given the risk of chipped polish, broken tips, and damaged nails, more and more women are opting for a manicure that will last without these complications. A gel manicure is an excellent solution. It lasts 3-4 weeks, making it extremely popular.
But remember, for a perfect gel manicure you require a very skilled and attentive technician.
At Solea Beauty Salon, we have talented, experienced technicians who are ready to accommodate the personal preferences and needs of each client and deliver the results they expect. If you’re dreaming of the perfect Gel manicure – welcome to our nail salon in Sunny Isles!
Gel Manicure – The Step-by-Step Process
Step 1 – Nail plate preparation
The technician carefully removes the old nail coating, files the nail plates and shapes them. They clean the cuticles and apply a degreasing solution. The nails are then buffed and dusted off. After, a natural shade base coat is applied and cured under a UV lamp.
Step 2 – Design
The chosen gel polish shade is applied in one or two layers. If desired by the client, nail art is then applied. Each layer is cured under ultraviolet light.
If there are broken nails or if the client wants to lengthen their nails, the technician will perform nail extensions.
Step 3 – Top coat
A top coat is applied to the finished gel manicure to seal it. It is then polymerized under a lamp.
Step 4 – Hand care
A moisturizing cream with nourishing oil is applied to the hands and fingertips.
How Much Does a Gel Manicure Cost?
At Solea Beauty Salon a Gel manicure costs between:
- $85;
- $90 (top technician);
- $95-$100 (long nails).
Yes, Gel Manicure is more expensive than traditional Regular Manicure. But keep in mind that the service lasts 3 times longer.
How Long Does a Gel Manicure Last?
A gel manicure does not chip or peel for 3-4 weeks. Instead of traditional nail polish, which quickly loses its shine and chips off the nail plate, a special gel polish is used. It cures within minutes under a UV lamp, creating a long-lasting coating. The need to update the manicure arises due to natural nail growth.
